Home-school Access to GLOW

If your child is having issues accessing GLOW, Teams or SMHW please email the school at:

 Inverclyde Academy Emergency HUB

Our hub will open tomorrow morning (25th March) from 9am. Families who have been allocated a place have been identified and emailed. The hub will be used for families of category 1 and category 2 workers who require childcare due to work commitments and will involve families from the following schools:

  • Inverkip Primary
  • Wemyss Bay Primary
  • Aileymill Primary
  • St Joseph’s Primary
  • St Andrew’s Primary
  • Inverclyde Academy
  • Any nurseries attached to the above schools

Learning and Teaching

A full range of online materials have been developed and organised to keep your child progressing in their learning.  If you have no internet access, your child should have collected a paper pack of resources from school on Thursday. If this has not happened you can collect a pack from the school office or contact us and we will deliver the pack to your door. The pupils also collected a full stationary pack.

Communication

Teachers will be communicating with the pupils using Glow Teams and ‘Show my homework’.

Parents can use the SMHW  school calendar to view any work issued by teachers by clicking here and searching for the teachers name at the top of the page.

The school will be communicating regularly to you as a parent using the email system and through Twitter.  At this point, we are planning to send out weekly newsletters every Friday. Our Twitter account is @invacad

Wellbeing

If your child receives additional support from the Impact Zone, we will be in regular contact with them to ensure they still feel supported.

Exercise and mental health is important every day and we should not neglect this. Our PE department have created a website with resources that you can use by clicking here

Every female in the school was given sanitary product yesterday. There will be a supply of product in the school and these can be collected from the school office.

SQA requirements

We are aware that some pupils have still to complete SQA work, or would like to have updated evidence of their progress. Any further developments will be reported nationally, and will be retweeted by the school.

I think we will all agree that these are unusual times and we are doing our best to support the community.
