I hope you find the resources useful, but please remember that there is no expectation that your child completes the activities on the grid. Please continue to play and learn in a way that suits you and your family’s circumstances – and remember that learning opportunities can be found everywhere, from helping make dinner to tidying away their toys.
We love seeing the pictures of the boys and girls playing and learning at home – keep sending your photos to Mrs Norton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
From Tuesday, we will be sending out end of year reports to each pupil’s Glow email address. Please continue to check your child’s email from this date. We will confirm here on the blog and on Twitter when all reports have been sent out.
We hope managed to enjoy the recent bank holiday, despite the change in the weather – although it did leave some great puddles to splash in! Hopefully the sun is back to stay for a few more days now!
We have attached an updated home learning grid to support you and your family as you continue to learn from home. We hope you find the resources and activities useful, but please remember that there is no expectation or pressure for your child to complete all of the activities on the grid. Please continue to encourage them to play and learn at their own place and in a way that suits you and your family circumstances.
Being part of your child’s learning and achievements is a privilege for us at Newton Farm Nursery and we would like to keep in touch with you even though our nursery is closed. We are really enjoying seeing all of your pictures from home – if you would like to share your child’s learning journey with us, or any special achievements your child has made at home please e-mail your pictures or story to Mrs Norton at email@example.com
We hope the resources provided are helpful and supportive during this time. We wish you and your families well and hope you enjoy exploring, playing and learning together.
All of our new P1 pupils joining us next session should have received a P1 Transition Newsletter in the post this week. This has some friendly faces and info on our school. We will be in touch soon with further transition information, this will be posted here and on our Twitter page…..stay tuned!!
Further to the earlier blog post about P7 transition, Uddingston Grammar have launched the Hi5 Transition Award for P7s.
P7s are invited to take part in a series of challenges which will help them find out more about Uddingston Grammar. All the information can be found on the new P7 UGS Twitter account – @7_ugs or on the P7 Google Classroom.
Challenge information and the logbook which can be completed can also be found below.
Ms Hogg and Mrs Webber are missing their weekly get togethers at assembly so much that they have been doing virtual assemblies on Google Classroom for the last few weeks.
We have been looking at our school values and we challenged pupils to create a mascot for Respect. If you click on the video below, you’ll see the fantastic entries that we received across the school.
We’ll be setting this challenge for each value over the coming weeks, so keep a look out on Google Classroom and get creating! When we’re back at school, we’ll be asking the Pupil Council to choose a mascot for each school value.
We hope you and your family are staying well and you have enjoyed the sun over the long bank holiday weekend.
Please find attached an updated nursery home learning grid to give you some more ideas of activities you can do at home with your child. We hope you find the resources useful, but please remember that there is no pressure or expectation that your child completes all of the activities on the grid. Please continue to encourage them to play and learn at their own place and in a way that suits you and your family.
We love seeing pictures of what the nursery boys and girls have been doing at home. If you would like to share your child’s learning journey – either doing an activity from the grid, or something else – we would love to hear from you. Please e-mail your pictures or story to Mrs Norton at firstname.lastname@example.org
We wish you and your families well as you continue to play, explore and learn together.
Uddingston Grammar have asked our Primary 7 pupils to complete a questionnaire so that they can get to know them better. The answers will also be the basis for some Q&A sessions that they plan to hold for P7s.
To fill in the questionnaire, Primary 7 pupils need to log on to Glow and then click on the link below.
I’ve also attached a letter sent out by Mrs McTiernan who is DHT at Uddingston Grammar and who has responsibility for S1 and S2.
Lastly, Uddingston Grammar have set up a Twiiter account just for P7s who are moving on to S1. You can find it on Twitter using @7_ugs. Keep an eye on it for information, videos from staff and even some exciting challenges. I’ll post everything that I can on Google Classroom and on the blog too, so that if you don’t have Twitter, you can still see what’s going on.
