🌟 Room 7 Weekly Update 🌟

It’s been another busy and exciting week in Room 7!

In Numeracy, we have been putting our problem-solving skills to the test by solving subtraction problems with a missing number. We have been thinking carefully about which number is missing and using different strategies to help us work out the answers.

In Time, we have been learning to order the months of the year and the days of the week, helping us to develop our understanding of the days, weeks and months that make up our calendar.

We have also been learning all about the Hindu festival of Diwali – the Festival of Lights! 🪔 We discovered how and why Diwali is celebrated and explored some of the colourful patterns and traditions associated with the festival. We then got creative and made our very own paper plate Diwali candles, decorating them with bright colours and beautiful designs.

We also enjoyed a visit to our school library 📚, where we had the opportunity to explore the shelves, browse different books and enjoy some time choosing stories to read.
