It was another busy week in Room 16 with lots of new things happening.
We changed our reading books and groups, with our Dahl group beginning The Polar Bear Explorer’s Club and Seuss starting The Queen’s Nose.
In numeracy, we started our work on money and the class have been getting on very well.
We had more rugby practice in PE and learned more about the Scottish Wars of Independence, too.
Pupil Voice:
Poppy: I enjoyed maths this week even though it was hard. We were learning about money. I also enjoyed moving reading groups and starting our new books.
Ben: I enjoyed learning about the Battle of Bannockburn because it was very interesting. We learned about Robert the Bruce and King Edward II and the Scottish won the battle.
Isla: We looked at medieval life and compared it to our lives now. I was looking at medieval homes and I found out they’re not very strong compared to our houses now. The video we watched about it was really interesting.
Hannah: I liked doing the Scottish Wars of Independence fact files. I enjoyed getting to research things I didn’t know and I know a lot more now.
