Apologies for missing a couple of weeks on the Blog, we have so busy in Room 11 with lots of new learning.

We were joined a couple of weeks ago by some little caterpillars who we watched grow rapidly and transform into chrysalis.  We are now on the watch for them to emerge into butterflies and have left some oranges in their net this weekend just incase!  The children have loved checking on their progress every morning.

We are focusing on persuasive writing this term and have decided to focus on different forms of media that we are exposed to all the time.  This week we discussed adverts, slogans and even jingles as well as the emotional language that companies use to persuade us.  We made posters to advertise our favourite places and next week we are going to start using the chrome books to create some of our own digital media.

Lastly, a big thanks to all the parents who supported our fun run today, through donations and/or spectating.

The kids all had the best morning and we have managed to raise a fantastic amount of money that will go a long way to replenishing our PE cupboard.
