What we learn in a week

The class were learning the difference between There/Their/They’re.We wrote sentences including There/Their/They’re.Our desk partner had to guess which one it was.

 

The class been practising written addition in maths.We also have been doing so much better with laying the sums out.We have been doing four digit numbers against three digit numbers.At first some people were a bit confused but after practice we all got there.

 

The class been working on writing an introduction on an information report on natural disasters.We made a poster of what to include in an information report.

 

We learned how to do data handling.We got a worksheet with favourite chocolates and favourite colours we had to do the sheets with our desk partner.

 

We did reciprical reading.Reciprical reading is when there are 4 people that you need a questioner, summariser, reader and clarifier.We did it for our reading book called Ottoline and the yellow cat.The reader had to read it the questioner had to skim and scan the book.The clarifier had to clarify the questions.The summariser had to summarise it.

 

The class has been learning about Natural Disasters.We made a small introduction about Natural Disasters and how they can affect people.On Thursday we were using willow charcoal to make tornado art pictures.

 

We have been looking at layers of the earth.We learned there are four layers: they are Tectonic plates,Mantle,Crust,Inner core and outer core.
