The Scottish Government is currently consulting on an updated National Adult Support and Protection (ASP) Learning and Development Framework. This framework aims to improve consistency in how professionals and practitioners implement the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007. The consultation seeks feedback on the framework to ensure it effectively addresses current policy, practice, and legislation related to adult support and protection.
The consultation is being led by the National Adult Support and Protection Learning and Development Network and the Stakeholders Reference Group, with the goal of having the framework ratified by early Autumn 2025. The framework will be presented to the National ASP Strategic Forum for endorsement.
