Awards related to your job role

  • Support Worker – SVQ 2 in social services and healthcare at SCQF level 6
  • Practitioner – SVQ 3 in in social services and healthcare at SCQF level 7
  • Supervisor – SVQ 4 in social services and healthcare at SCQF level 9 (Top Up Units)
  • Manager – SVQ 4 in Care Service Leadership and Management at SCQF level 10
  • Career Pathways


What you will need

The centre uses VQfolio a user-friendly e-portfolio system for SVQs

You will need:

  • Access to Internet
  • Compatible Devices – tablet, laptop, desktop.
  • Pen and paper to take notes
  • Time to complete work
  • Focused environment
  • Commitment to achieve your award within expected timescales


Support for your SVQ

  • Meetings with Assessor (Consists of 1 – 1.5hrs approx. 2-4 weeks)
  • Guidance and advice on award
  • Contact out with arranged meetings
  • Support to plan and develop your evidence
  • Recorded assessment plans
  • Additional support is available if required

The SSSC provide useful information and learning resources for anyone within social services. On their website you can find information about SSSC registration among other resources. Their learning zone provides free online learning across a range of topics, and their Open Badges are a way of sharing evidence of digital learning and development.

SQA Ushare: 

Ushare is an online platform by the SQA that links learners to useful resources recommended by assessors and training providers. These resources from various organizations can help to support SQA Qualifications. Once you have created a free account you can store these links and share them with others, as well as rating and commenting.
