After a busy week, Primary 1 created spooky Halloween ornaments using paper plates.

All ornaments are different but they are all amazing.

Primary 1 had lots of fun measuring each other and the teacher using non standard units.

They used lollipop sticks and cubes to work out who was the tallest and shortest.

They were able to learn measuring skills and vocabulary which they can use in future activities.

Primary 1 had an amazing experience with Wildside Nature when Donald came in to deliver a workshop. The children were learning about Halloween animals such as bats, owls and spiders.

They moved around like the animals and pretended to silently hunt their prey.

The highlight was learning about how bats use echo location to fly around in the dark and having an opportunity to be blindfolded and find each other by sound alone.

Donald was very impressed with the knowledge and vocabulary that the children had when they were discussing the animals and mammals.

Another great learning day in Primary 1.
