School Uniform

Our school uniform promotes a real sense of school identity, shared values, self-confidence and a shared sense of community. The uniform is actively supported by our pupils, parents and the Parent Council and is of great benefit to our young people.

The school uniform consists of the following items:

  • School blazer (S1-S4 blazer has gold trim, our S5/6 blazer has blue trim.)
  • White shirt
  • School tie (S1-S4 wear a gold/blue/black striped tie, S5/6 wear our blue senior tie.)
  • Black school trousers
  • Black skirt
  • Appropriate school footwear (black)
  • The Hillpark Hoodie is also an acceptable item of clothing as well as a plain black jumper or cardigan.

A consultation took place in session 2023/24 and two further items of clothing were made available as an option during the warm weather:

  • Plain black skorts
  • Plain black knee length shorts (no brand logos)
    • Hot pants, leggings, jeggings, jeans and tops with brands or logos are not part of our school uniform.
    • Pupils will be asked to remove any outer items of clothing, which is not part of our school uniform when in classrooms.

PE Kit

The school dress code does extent to full PE kit which is expected on days you have PE. We are able to use PE changing rooms now so there are no excuses. (More info about this on the PE Kit page).

Any pupil who comes to school without their full school uniform or full PE kit must also bring a note of explanation. Pastoral Care / your year head will follow this up.
