BGE Curriculum
Performing
When you come to Hillpark, you will build performance skills on a range of instruments including; keyboard, ukulele, guitar, drumkit, tuned percussion and voice. You will have fun opportunities to perform in solo settings and as part of a group. You will then choose to develop practical musicianship skills on two of these instruments.
Listening
Throughout your time in the BGE, you will build understanding on a range of different topics including:
- Music in the Movies
- Pop Music
- Instruments of the Orchestra
- Musicals and Operas
- Jazz and Blues
- World Music
You will also learn how to read and write music using music notation.
Composition
You will write you own music using tools on the iPad such as GarageBand and other music software packages. There will be many opportunities to utilise your creative skills through improvisation.
