IDL: Christmas Time
We have been very lucky this week to have enjoyed TWO class parties! We have played lots of games and been effective contributors as we took turns and waited patiently during each game or turn. We had lots of fun and behaved very responsibly.
We were also very luck to meet Santa Clause himself! Santa and his elf came to visit us. We enjoyed meeting them and then toasting some marshmallows by the fire during a lovely Christmassy morning
On Thursday we got a letter from Santa thanking us for the letters we sent to him a few weeks ago! Hugh was super excited to get a personal message from him!
To cap off a fantastic week we got the chance to watch a virtual Singing Hands concert! We danced, signed and sang our hearts out!
FAOL – Whole school
The Bluebells were all confident individuals and participated in our class Christmas show. Most pupils helped make props for our Christmas show. They were all able to follow instructions and bounce up and down to the music.
I am so proud of them all for their participation and hoped you liked the show.
Successful Learners Confident Individuals
The Moonbeams have enjoyed creating lots of Christmas crafts, cards and letters over the past few weeks to take home to their families. They have concentrated hard on their writing, drawing, cutting, and baking skills. We hope all of the families enjoy their presents.
Some photos from our Christmas Party!
Confident Individuals and Effective Contributors
The Sunflower’s have worked very hard over the festive period. Each child has participated in arts and crafts, Christmas literacy and numeracy tasks and singing and signing songs for our Christmas video. Below are some photos from the making of our video and some of our activities including Christmas maze writing and water play with Christmas bath bombs. We also enjoyed making gifts, decorations and our snowman wall display and lantern.

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS *
The Daisies class enjoyed decorating mugs using porcelain paint pens today. We drew snowman faces and our names on them. We had to leave them to set and are excited to take them home as keepsake gifts for our families.
Santa Hat Strawberry Snacks!
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS *
The Daisies class enjoyed creating a Christmas themed snack. We used oreo biscuits as our base and added a layer of squirty cream. We placed a strawberry on top to make it look like Santa Claus’ hat.
We were very responsible when practising our cutting skills and enjoyed smelling, touching and tasting some of the ingredients.
Sensory Santa Beards
* CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *
The Daisies class enjoyed exploring shaving foam today. We were very confident and brave in all wearing a Santa hat. We explored shaving foam with our hands and gave ourselves beards like Santa Claus.
FAOL – ENTERPRISE
*Effective Contributors* & *Responsible Citizens*
For our Enterprise Focused Area of Learning this term, we took on the task of making our own Christmas decorations. We started off by collecting some suitable sticks on our local walk whilst being Responsible Citizens in the community. We then watched tutorials and followed instructions carefully to make a star shape with our sticks. To make it a lovely Christmas gift, we added our own photos for a special touch. Great work from the Sungazers & we hope you liked your eco-friendly Christmas decoration!
Here is the group one we made for our classroom:
