Maths week!

This week is national maths week and we have been busy bees doing lots of different maths activities. We were using the fine motor threading bears and buttons. We were using our funky fingers and were discussing the different colours of the buttons.

We also used tissue paper and laminate sheets to create our own number maths for our colourful sensory table.

On Thursday we had a number hunt around the school looking for numbers that were stuck up around the halls.

LS Lowry Houses

The Oak class have been extremely busy in the art room. The boys recreated the famous ‘Berwick upon Tweed’ painting by LS Lowry. They used recycled paper and card and decided to go with a bright colours theme.

We discussed perspective and the clever use of horizon lines in paintings. We also talked about how simplistic yet effective the stick people figures are in the foreground. Super successful learners today.

Wonderful work by some budding young artists!
