The Transition boys were Successful Learners this week during their gardening time. We were excited to see that the seeds planted before the Easter Holidays had germinated. The class used their numeracy skills to divide the plants up evenly to be planted outside. Everything was planted out neatly and we look forward to watching our vegetables grow.

*SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS*
The Moonbeams class have enjoyed observing changes over the week to our eggs during our science experiment.
On Monday we put raw eggs into jars of vinegar and left them overnight. The next day, the eggs were left without their shell!
We put half of the eggs into jars of water which grew over the next few days as they observed the water.
The other half were put in jars of golden syrup. The syrup caused them to shrink and shrivel up. Here are our results!
Egg Rolling Fun!
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS, EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS *
The Moonbeams class loved decorating our boiled eggs and turning them into gumball machines! We were the winner in the Middle Primary corridor and were delighted with the result.
We also enjoyed rolling our eggs with Tyler rolling his the furthest and Emma “rolling” hers the highest!
The Snowdrops have been enjoying using percussion instruments to accompany songs by playing loudly or softly. They are also very good at knowing when to play and when to stop playing during songs. Our new song we are currently learning is called ‘Bang, Tap, Stop!’ which requires the class to play loudly and quietly as well as follow directions such as start and stop. They are having really good fun and love playing the variety of drums that we have in our music room.

The Daisies have been learning a new song at music called ‘We’re Going Around The World’ as an introduction to their new theme. All pupils have enjoyed coming along to do music in our music room and being able to explore and play a variety of percussion instruments. We have been learning some key signs and actions for our song as well as playing the claves, castanets and clackers to accompany the tune. Hayden also enjoyed performing a solo for his class which we managed to get on video too.

Little visitors
We had some very young and fluffy visitors at Willowbank today. This afternoon we were greeted with some baby lambs. The boys absolutely loved them. They were caring and very careful not to scare them. Some of the boys were even brave enough to have them on their knee.
Spring Babies
We have been taking part in lots of Easter themed activities this week, and especially enjoyed having a visit from some lambs today.
We were confident individuals and touched and held the lambs.
Spring lambs
The Snowdrops were confident individuals visiting some lambs in school this afternoon. They were responsible citizens, being quiet and gentle towards the baby animals.
Puffy Paint Ice Cream Cones
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS *
The Moonbeams class enjoyed creating puffy paint today. We made the paint using shaving foam, PVA glue and food colouring. We added food colouring to make the paint look like strawberry and mint choc chip flavoured ice cream!
