Last week we used lots of different coloured paper to collage the first letter of our name. We used glue to stick the paper inside the lines of our initial. We were all successful learners and completed this with some support.

Another school year has started and everyone in the Oak class have settled in very well.
We have had a busy few weeks and everyone has been confident individual getting to know their new class friends.
The Oak class motto this year is ‘Try Everything’ and we delivered our first class assembly based on this theme and ‘Being the Best We Can Be’. We got everyone up dancing to our song ‘Try Everything’.
Have a look at some of the activities we have taken part in;

It has been a very busy start to new term in the Snowdrops Room. Everyone has been making effective contributions to art work and creating a new wall display about new Friendships. Our new friends have been confident individuals moving around their new class and school environment. Here are some photos to show you our busy start the school year!

The new children in the Sunflowers class have settled in well to their new school. They are enjoying the structure and routine of the day and have been trying new things.
On the first week we just enjoyed exploring our new surroundings and investigating toys in our classroom. We also made some lovely sunflower pictures for our wall.

Last week enjoyed collaging raindrops, clouds and a sun for our class charter. We then added symbols to show the rights we have. We chose the right to feel safe, to be happy, to have clean water, to food and a house.

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *
The Bluebells class worked together to create cupcakes during our cookery session. We used our stirring, pouring and spooning skills and were all brave enough to smell or taste our cakes.

The Bluebells class have enjoyed music sessions with Mrs Skinner. We particularly enjoy the bean bag rock where we have to shake the bean bag on different parts of the body.
We also like playing the “start and stop” song with the big drum.

The Transition boys were Responsible Citizens on Friday afternoon when they tackled their weekly chores. There is now no excuse at home as the following photographs will evidence! Each boy managed to make a bed and fold some clothes very successfully!

The Transition boys put in a lot of effort and were Confident Individuals when they completed there movement and balance circuits. The boys had to balance on logs, walk like crabs, hop like frogs and many other activities.

The Transition boys were Effective Contributors this week when they decided the weather was perhaps a little too wet and built their den indoors. All of the boys decided on the design and once it was completed there was even time for a wee hot chocolate!
