Willowbank School, KilmarnockThe Sungazers have had great fun designing and making a scarecrow for our sensory garden. We stuffed clothing with shredded paper, helped to draw and colour in a face and used wool to make his hair.
We have all had a great week in the Sungazers Class. We have been learning about firework safety and enjoyed reading a story called ‘Sparks in the Sky’. We even made our own firework pictures in class using different painting skills. Plastic forks, flicking paint from a brush and glitter helped us to create wonderful pictures. We all had good messy fun!
The Sungazers were ‘Confident Individuals’ as they participated in a variety of Halloween themed activities:
Pumpkin Carving, Spooky Skeleton Hands, Halloween Treasure Hunt and Halloween Literacy. A spooky time was had by all!
The Sungazers were responsible citizens as they made a new wall display. We have been learning how to be friendly and considerate within our Willowbank family.
Here are The Sungazers being ‘Successful Learners’ as we enjoy developing literacy skills in a variety of fun ways. We communicate daily as we talk and sign while doing everyday things. We particularly enjoyed communicating while playing a tricky words game ‘Literacy Pong’ and ‘Roll and Read.’ 
After a busy morning in the Sungazers we were confident individuals as we enjoyed some sensory science. This is beneficial for the development of fine motor skills and has super calming benefits. Good clean fun 
The Sungazers were successful learners as they completed individual and group work tasks at numeracy today. We are all developing wonderful numeracy skills in everyday activities. Well done boys. 
The Sungazers were ‘Effective Contributors’ as they participated in our Macmillan event.
Hello! We’ve made it to the end of term! We hope you have enjoyed our weekly activities, special deliveries and videos over the last few months. We hope that you all have a wonderful summer with your family (and hope the weather improves too!). We look forward to welcoming you back in August.
