Pine Class Apple Crumble Superheroes

Our Interdisciplinary Learning (IDL) Topic is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and this week we were thinking again about Apples, which are very important in the story. Some of us made Apple Crumble and some of us enjoyed Apple Crumble Sensory Play – chopped apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, oats, butter and flour – lots of different textures and smells.

Literacy, matching the Dwarfs with the Color Monster feelings, Happy is the Yellow Monster  – a favourite of a few in class!!

Grumpy is the Red Monster – but he still gets a giggle!!

Achoo!!! For Sneezy!!!

Grumpy or Happy????

Choosing Happy – great MOVE today – sitting in a class without the hoist for support – WELL DONE!!!!!

Listening to magical Snow White Songs.

Art, looking for jewels like the dwarfs – glue and glitter fun!!!

Friday the 4th of June is Superhero and MOVE  Day.

Girls saving the World!!!

Great sitting!!

Let the DISCO begin!!!

Link to the Mini Disco – we loved it!!!

Non Stop Mini Disco

Have a SUPER weekend everyone!!!

Star Bakers

We love to bake different cakes and tasty treats during our cooking sessions at school.  🧁
All the boys in the Daisies class have been working hard to measure out cups of ingredients with support, count the cups as they’re added to a bowl, and have been doing well to mix ingredients together independently.

Why not bake a cake with your family and show off your baking skills! You can comment a photo of our finished bake, or let us know what you made.

Collect the ingredients you need.

  Measure out ingredients with support.

Mix the ingredients together in a bowl.

Put your cake in the oven with help from an adult.

Miss Wilson has made a tasty Banana loaf. She made sure she had all of her ingredients ready, followed the recipe to mix them together in a bowl, then put the cake in the oven to bake. Doesn’t it look yummy?

Cookery African Style!

The Beech class attempted to cook a famous African dessert this week!  South African’s answer to sticky toffee pudding is called Malva pudding.  We were effective contributors as we worked out the recipe together and each took turns to prepare the ingredients and follow the instructions to make our pudding.  It was absolutely delicious!
