Art – 23/03/20
Try to improve your skills in observational drawing. Choose any item in the house. You could go outside and draw some plants! Look at it very carefully. Look at the shapes it makes and the shadows it forms. Sketch the object drawing what you see, not what you think you see. You can use plain paper or one of your jotters.
Writing – 23/03/20
Write a set of instructions: How to Wash your hands Properly! (we didn’t get our posters finished in class : -(
Success Criteria for any set of instructions: Write in sequential / time order, use simple clear language, use Imperative (bossy) verbs, number or time sequence steps (First, next etc.), choose a clear layout, include diagrams / pictures to support and include extra information in separate boxes.

30.3.2020
Here are some new maths tasks to try out this week Maths home tasks week 2
Good writing task in the Homework tasks (see above)- about Natural Disasters. Would be good to read some of them. Would be even better if you then turned it into a script for the evening news.
Or choose a current Science topic which is in the news. Write a head line news story and post it on the blog. (Remember 2nd level vocab, punctuation and descriptions) then write a script and film as a news report. Perhaps your brother could play the Prime Minister and your Mum could be a leading medical expert. But you need to write their scripts!
Check out P3-5 Spanish learning. Miss B has put some great tasks to keep your newly learned Spanish from becoming rusty!! Just the ticket for all pupils across the school.
Find the post about turning your photos round!!! I’m on the look out for photos that are up the right way this week!!
READING – pull a book out of your bag from school and get reading. Try to spend 30 mins a day reading. No spoilers on the blog. Write a review when you have finished a book but don’t give all the best events away!!
