Christmas is coming…..

What a super busy week we have had in Primary 1.

On Tuesday we all walked to the Steps Theatre to watch a film. The film was organised by Coldside Community Forum and a huge thank you to Eddie Holmes who organised it for us. We were very lucky that the whole school got such a lovely gift of going to the cinema. On Wednesday we put on our costumes for the dress rehearsal of the Christmas show.  We loved dressing up as builders, reindeer, jinglers, kings, Santa, Mrs Claus, Mary and Joseph.  Thursday was the big day and we sung our hearts out on stage for all our families and friends.  We were fantastic and got a HUGE round of applause.

We have been working our way through our Christmas book which has got lots of activities to help us get in the Christmas mood. We have been finding sounds and counting in our book.

We have also been working hard to get ready for our Gruffalo Party which we had on Friday. We made special Gruffalo Menus and Gruffalo Party Invitations for our friends in class. We had to draw pictures  of the Gruffalo food and write our friends name using a capital letter. We all got to take home a special present of our Gruffalo Videos and we are are able to watch our videos at home with our parent and carers.

Then today we had our Gruffalo Party. We started by listening to the story of the Gruffalo. Then we went to the hall to play Gruffalo Games. We played Gruffalo corners, Foxes Tails and pass the Gruffalo. Next we went to the class to have our Gruffalo party food. It was tasty.
