Allotment News
P3S and the children in Mrs Finlayson’s room have an allotment across the road beside the Saltire Centre.
Mrs Finlayson and her children have been out and about today stocking up on seeds. She came to talk to us and show us what they had bought.
We are hoping to build our own greenhouse using plastic bottles. We need 1500!! We are going to send a letter around the whole school tomorrow to ask if they can help us in collecting them.
Toothpaste Packaging
Today we had to to think of names for a new brand of toothpaste and then design some packaging for it. Some of the names we came up with were Gleam, Happy Tooth, Cool Paste and Sparkletooth.

Scottish Afternoon
We have been fundraising for the RNLI. Their national fundraising day was on 29th January 2011 and the theme was SOS. On that Friday, we asked parents and friends to Sponsor Our Spelling.
Today we asked parents to join us at school to Swirl Our Skirts and Share Our Shortbread. We gave a short presentation about the RNLI. After that we gave recitations of Scottish poems and sang songs.

Then we took our parents and friends to the gym and taught the Virginia Reel. Here is a video of them joining in our fun!

We went back to the classroom and had our shortbread and a wee drink of Irn Bru.
