The choir performed their programme in the afternoon for invited guests within the community and also in the evening for parents, relatives and friends. The hall was decorated with artwork produced by all the classes and refreshments were provided by the PTA.

Dalmally Talent Contest
At the end of March the children of Dalmally Primary School organised a talent show. This was no ordinary evening; in fact it was a very exclusive event. Guests entered through the V.I.P entrance, made their way along the red carpet and were greeted with a champagne (sparkling fruit juice!) reception. The event was not complete without a panel of celebrity judges who took their roles very seriously.

RAG BAG
On the 5th March we emptied the Rag bin and have managed to raise £99. This is our highest total yet. We set our team of organisers the challenge of making the bags weigh as close to 5Kg as possible. As you can see from the photos we weighed the bags to make sure that they were round about the same size.
If they were very heavy we shared their contents among the smaller bags.
In the new term we are going to buy new playground toys with the money raised. Continue reading News from Kilninver Primary
Red Nose Day – Wear something funny for money day on Luing
There was lots of laughter when the children appeared wearing something funny for money. Kyle and Corey had a backwards day, wearing their clothes back to front; fortunately this did not affect their work. Kurtis was hoping to hide away in the garden in his special floral camouflage suit. Everyone felt extra safe with Batman and Spiderman in the school, ready to swoop into action at the first sign of danger. The rest of the children arrived in their onesies, hoping for a sleepy and peaceful morning. Lots of fun was had playing games and we raised a total of £25.

Lochdonhead playgound development
The pupils of Lochdonhead Primary School have planned, resourced, gained funding, and overseen the development of their school playground, creating a story glen, based on an old Gaelic tale, Iolaire Loch Treig. The pupils have worked with various artists and they are even working with pupils in a secondary school in Harrogate, who are designing wooden story boards based on our children’s designs.
We now have a fantastic imaginative play area, including a willow dome with tunnels, a willow cave and a log ringed area.
