Beatlie Scarecrow Festival 2023

Our first cafe in our new school and what a lovely morning we had joined by some strangers………..

Thank you to all who came and enjoyed the lovely baking the children prepared over the week.

Thank you to all the children and staff for decorating the hall and making fantastic scarecrows.

Everyone had the opportunity to vote for their favourite – although everyone is a winner, Peat was the peoples favourite on the day.

Enjoy watching the videos of us all preparing for the day and a second one showing us all enjoying the morning.

See you all again for our Children in Need cafe on 17th November.

Term 1 in Lomond

What an exciting first term we have had in our new school. Everyone has had great fun exploring all the new areas of our school. The garden has been a particular favourite with all the children and they have enjoyed making full use of all the new equipment. Everything is so accessible for all the children. Another favourite of the children has been the multi-sensory room, it’s been a favourite of the staff as well with the ability to either a calming environment or a more interactive space where children can move around frequently to pop bubbles or squash ants!

Have fun looking through some of our photos of us enjoying our new school.

Summer term in Lomond class

We can’t believe that summer is here already! we would like to wish everyone a lovely summer holiday and we are looking forward to seeing everyone for the next big adventure in our lovely new school.

Here are some of the highlights from our term.

Beatlie Whole School Walk – Walking Month

All the pupils and staff from Beatlie were joined by some family and friends to go on a whole school walk as part of our walking month.

The weather was on our side and we had a cracking morning walking around Craigshill and up to the new school.

We are virtual walking from John O’Groates to Lands End and this walk has been added to our total……………

This week we have managed a whopping 219 miles!!!

So I have calculated that we have reached Dunkeld

Amazing Bealtie Keep up the good work.

December in Glendevon

What a  busy term we have had in Glendevon! The children have firstly enjoyed cross class, mixing with other children around the school in outdoor activities. They were involved in singing, stories, circle games, litter picking or sensory play every week.

Then we were hard working with crafting Christmas things and it was lovely to see the whole class actively involved in this. We also explored different types of winter messy play and lots of practicing and preparation for the Christmas show….which of course was fab!  All the children coped so well with this. Well done Glendevon children!!

Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year!!!

Beatlie Cafe for Live Music Now – 18th November 2022

It was lovely to see parents, grandparents and carers back in Beatlie for our cafe this  morning.  Thanks for your donations, we raised £100 for Live Music Now.

Live Music Now (https://livemusicnow.scot/ ) visited our school last year and worked with some of the senior classes.  It was very successful and we hope to have them back again in the future.

Our children showed us how much they enjoyed listening to the live music this morning with lots of dancing, smiling and playing along with musical instruments.

Secondary Assembly – Friendship

This week Ochiltree and Duntarvie enjoyed a messy but fun assembly all about what it takes to make a goodfriend.

Please have a look at the lovely video made up of the photos taken.
