We have had a very productive term in Duntarvie especially working on all our ASDAN and SQA targets. We are all looking forward to Christmas and a break to recharge our batteries ready for more hard work in term 3.

Christmas in Duntarvie 2020
We are wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Article 29 (goals of education)
Education must develop every child’s
personality, talents and abilities to the
full. It must encourage the child’s respect
for human rights, as well as respect
for their parents, their own and other
cultures, and the environment.
Article 31 (leisure, play and culture)
Every child has the right to relax, play and
take part in a wide range of cultural and
artistic activities.
Article 23 (children with a disability)
A child with a disability has the right to live
a full and decent life with dignity and, as far
as possible, independence and to play an
active part in the community. Governments
must do all they can to support disabled
children and their families.
Duntarvie’s walk for Streetwork
All the young people of Duntarvie class had lots of fun completing their individual challenges on our walk yesterday for Streetwork. We had budding photographers using switch accessible cameras and I pads, noise detectives and singers too. We all had a great time and so far we (as a school) have raised £600 but remember it isn’t to late to donate – just follow the link – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/beatlie-school
Term 1 in Duntarvie
Duntarvie Team 20-21
There have been a couple of wee changes to class team since the video and book were sent out over the summer so here is Duntarvie team for the session 20-21.
Welcome to Duntarvie
Hello and welcome to Duntarvie class 20/21.
All the staff just want to say a well done to all our young people for coming back to school after such a long absence and getting right back into their routines and targets – well done.
We hope that you found the wee videos and back to school book helpful and are getting into the swing of using our new electronic diary system.
This term we have started off by exploring early literacy and sensory development through the use of our story land theme – Hazel does like a bit of mess so sorry in advance mums & dads! The class is looking forward to sharing some of our learning on world literacy day (8th September) through YouTube videos and will be sending home some fortnightly good work photos through journals too.
Looking forward to a great year in senior phase.
