Primary 6 have been busy making snow globe baubles with their bestie inside. These glittery decorations are on trend and will be available to buy at the Christmas Fair next week. What a lovely keepsake to have for years to come.

Blether stations, Subtraction and Christmas art
In Maths we have been learning how to subtract 4 digit numbers with and without regrouping using the column method. We have used Dienes blocks to help us to understand what regrouping means.
We have also learnt about the past tense and how to spell different verbs in the past tense. E.g. asked, carried, etc. We have been learning basic greetings and feelings in French and organised a P5 puppet show to practise this.
It was also exciting to discuss our favourite books in ‘Blether Stations’ for Scottish Book Week. Finally, we have started getting ready for Christmas; we’ve been practising our Christmas carols and also made really nice Christmas decorations to sell in the Christmas School Fayre.
Primary 1 Christmas Party!
Primary 1 had such a great time at their Christmas Party yesterday!
We all looked amazing in our lovely (and very sparkly) party clothes (so thank you to all the mummies / daddies / grandparents).
We played lots of games, including corners, musical bumps and pass the parcel. We then had a dancing competition too (all the boys and girls were really enjoying it and showing off lots of amazing moves!). We had a rest and a chance to refuel with some party food (with crackers too – the children really enjoyed all the jokes). Then, we had a special visit from Santa! Overall, it was a really fantastic day (and I expect we were all exhausted last night).
Here are all our prize winners! Well done to everyone, you were all amazing!

Thank you to all the parents who managed to come along!

On Tuesday afternoon primary 1 had a lovely Christmas craft afternoon. We invited our parents / carers / grandparents to come along to help us. We also had some primary 7’s come along.
We made lots of lovely things, such as a paper chain Christmas tree; reindeer food (to make sure they land on our gardens on Christmas eve); hot chocolate rudolphs. We also played games, read Christmas stories and did some Christmas worksheets.
Thank you to everyone who came along. It really was a fantastic afternoon.
