As our caterpillars continue to grow, this week we decided to write songs explaining the butterfly life cycle.
We then had a ‘Eurovision’ style song contest and the winning song was penned by Cameron. He set his words to the tune of Jingle Bells.
Butterfly Cycle Song
Caterpillar, caterpillar in the tiny egg.
Soon there’ll be a tiny caterpillar, all ready!
To gobble up the milkweed and create a chrysalis,
And he’ll be in that state for weeks, and weeks and weeks.
Then hatching through the chrysalis will be a beautiful butterfly,
It will fly off to go and feeeeeed and lay eggs again and again.
The cycle starts again x 2.
