Islam
Over the past month the class have been learning all about Islam. Miss Whiteside, a student teacher in Religious Education from Stirling University, has been delivering lessons on Islam. This has been particularly relevant as it is the month of Ramadan and Eid shall be celebrated this week.
The class have shown their knowledge and understanding throughout when they were placed in the ‘hot seat’ to answer questions on each lesson once completed.

The children worked to design and create a collaborative prayer mat using geometric shapes.
Fizzah brought in her copy of the Qur’an and her own prayer mat today.
The children have really enjoyed learning about another world religion.
Pope Francis Group Leading the Way
This morning, the Pope Francis Group took their ‘wee buddies’ from P2R along to Mass. During the sermon, Canon Mike linked the responsibilities the Pope Francis children have in a likeness to God. These children are leading the way and protecting others around them, just as God does with us.
Well done Pope Francis children!
Pope Francis Sharing Knowledge
The Primary 6 and Primary 7 children from the Pope Francis Group took on the responsibility of buddying a younger child from P2 to take them to Mass. The Pope Francis Group also shared the gift of knowledge with their younger buddy. The message from the sermon was ‘Practice until you Preach.’
