This morning, the Pope Francis Group took their ‘wee buddies’ from P2R along to Mass. During the sermon, Canon Mike linked the responsibilities the Pope Francis children have in a likeness to God. These children are leading the way and protecting others around them, just as God does with us.
For our science experiment today, we used our prior knowledge to choose 10 things around the classroom to see if they would float or sink. We predicted our results then started with the things we thought would float, then the items that we believed would sink. We learned that different materials affect floating and sinking.
P3/4D had a wee party in class to celebrate Robert Burns. We munched on Scottish treats as well as homemade dumpling made by our Tuesday helper Mrs Hamill. We finished off the party with the Scots poem A Dug A Dug by Bill Keys.
All P6 children started learning different ball skills from the St Modan’s Sports Leaders. Along with this, the pupils concentrated on team work. We are looking forward to learning more this week.
This week, P6M were introduced to their Term 3 topic, The Titanic. We will be going back in time to 1912 to discover what life was like then.
