P6 have been busy completing homework tasks about their class topic, Kenya. We have researched information, created models of houses and jewellery and created interesting stories, news reports and diaries. We have also had some amazing artefacts from Kenya brought into our class to discuss and look at.
P6 have been working on creating interesting and inferential questions about things they have watched and read. Today we watched news round and created questions to quiz each other on.
Today was our first meeting of the Lego Into Orbit Club.
Despite a few technical hitches we managed to complete our first set of models! Only ten more to go then onto designing our robot before we program it.
Primary 1/2 have enjoyed learning actively during Literacy and Numeracy this week.
Primary 1 practised their initial sounds by playing ‘Sound Bingo’ and used the I-Pads to work on their formation of their sounds and numbers.
Primary 2 used their magnetic boards to practise blending their spelling words. They also made sentences using their reading words to revise capital letters and full stops – sticking the finished sentences in their jotters. In maths Primary 2 have been learning how to tell the time and enjoyed using the Smart Board and working together within their stations to meet their learning target.
We played a game of first to 20 French words. In pairs you take turns to write words down, then if your partner rolls a six it’s their turn until you roll a six. It got quite exciting for a simple game and we were really impressed by how many words we knew,
