Rights Respecting Schools Pupil Steering Group

 

We are a Rights Respecting Silver School!

 

Coylton Primary has successfully passed the silver accreditation process and are journeying on to achieve gold.

With the help of our Rights Respecting Pupil Group, a pupil focus group made up of pupils from across the school who spoke so well about their school experience, a staff and parent focus group who also made a valuable contribution we have our Silver accreditation. Watch out for our shiny new banner appearing outside the school soon!

It doesn’t stop there though as our gold accreditation journey has already begun. We are taking steps already to help us on our way. We will be sharing more with parents/carers about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child to help talk about them at home with your child. Pupils will also continue to increase their knowledge and understanding of rights. Our work emphasising pupil voice in our decision making, providing leadership opportunities will be ongoing along with continued celebration of children and their achievements acknowledging the diversity of our pupil body.
