Class Teachers set a consistent and varied homework programme featuring weekly literacy and numeracy tasks which consolidate and develop work being covered in class.

Your child should come home with a homework jotter at the beginning of the year. Tasks will be issued on a Monday via Microsoft Teams and should be returned on the Friday, allowing pupils flexibility in completing tasks to fit in with out-of-school activities. Class teachers will upload detailed Homework Grids shown below. Some weeks will have tasks from other areas of the curriculum and teachers will clearly state timescales for these tasks.

We cannot enforce that pupils complete homework tasks. Although some parents may opt for pupils not to complete tasks, we do encourage this consolidation of learning as it gives an insight into class work and reinforces skills.
