Welcome to Primary 7 where we enjoy all aspects of our learning. This year, our teacher is Mrs Edmiston. We are class of 24 pupils who are all keen and excited to learn. Our school values are READY, RESPECTFUL and SAFE and they guide us in all that we do.
In Maths, we are learning about concepts such as money, BODMAS, multiples, factors and primes and integers. Our maths lessons have us fully engaged and active.
In Literacy, we are currently reading Rat by Patrice Lawrence as part of our Ayr Academy Transition programme. We are also continuing with Phase 2 of South Ayrshire Reads, focusing on strengthening our phonics and spelling skills. Our writing lessons are closely linked to our book studies and real-life contexts, allowing us to connect our learning to the world around us.
In Health and Wellbeing, we are exploring the topic of substance misuse. This includes learning about smoking, vaping, alcohol, and illegal substances, with a focus on making informed and responsible choices.
Our interdisciplinary focus this term will be our Bands on Tour topic. We are excited about this topic because of the amount of learning opportunities it offers. We can’t wait to get started! Our P7 leadership roles are going well, and we are learning to lead by example, work cooperatively and make a positive impact in our school. Make sure to follow the school’s social media to see our daily learning experiences unfold! 📚🌟
