Primary 2/3 – Term 3

This year our teacher is Miss Thomson and we have 25 pupils in our class.  We have 7 P3 pupils and 18 Primary 2 pupils. In our class we show we are ready, respectful and safe.

• In Maths this term we will be focusing on money, fractions, addition and subtraction and multiplication and division.
• We are always learning new sounds each week and we love using our phoneme fingers to help us to blend and segment. We read books every week and as a class we will be reading The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me by Roald Dahl.
• Miss McFarlane will be developing our Athletics skills this term and Mr Crookston will also take us for P.E on a Monday. He is focusing on Gymnastics. Miss McFarlane will also take us for Outdoor Learning on a Tuesday.
• In January, we will have a Scottish focus. We will learn our Scots Verse poem ‘Street Talk’. For this focus we will be reading Harris the Hero, focusing on Scottish Wildlife and Landmarks.
• We continue to develop our technology skills weekly with the school iPads and computers. We are learning the importance of passwords, creating our own and learning to log onto the computer independently. Pupils are exploring Stop Motion, making their very own Harris the Hero adventures!
