Primary 1 – Term 1

This year our teacher is Mrs Ritchie and we have 22 pupils in our class. In our class we are learning about the school values of Ready, Respectful and Safe. We have lots of new responsibilities and we are working hard on tidying up and making new friends.

• In Maths this term we will be focusing on learning to write the numbers 0-9, patterns, and 2D and 3D shapes.
• In Literacy, we are reading The Tiger Who Came to Tea as a class book study.  We have 2 goldfish in our class, Mario and Luigi and we have been learning about how to look after them.. We are learning lots of new sounds and how to write them properly.
• In P.E we are learning to move around the hall safely, as well as working on our balancing, throwing and catching and jumping skills.
• We are developing our ability to use technology by using the Ipads and scanning QR codes.
• For outdoor learning we have been on a litter pick and used some of the twigs, leaves and stones to do some counting and make shapes!
• Keep checking Teams for homework and regular updates of what we have been up to each week in class 🙂
