Our shared vision states:

We aim to provide high quality care and learning for our children. Our staff team put children at the centre and create a safe, fun and nurturing environment where children are valued as curious, investigative learners who learn best through PLAY: doing, exploring and posing questions in order to understand the world around them. We take what children can do, rather than what they cannot do, as the starting point for every child’s learning journey.
Relationships within our centre between families, Key workers and children are based on kindness and mutual respect. To support children’s emotional well-being Key workers have daily check ins with our children and support them to identify their feelings, learn the vocabulary to describe their feelings and most importantly talk about their feelings.
By working in partnership with families we believe that children will achieve their full potential. We use the Learning Journals App to communicate with our families and share the learning. We also offer Family Learning sessions, PEEP sessions, Health Visitor sessions, Baby Massage and Stay and Play opportunities.
We offer 1140 provision for 2-3 and 3-5 children with free flow access to the outdoor areas in both rooms. Our recently updated outdoor area includes a mud kitchen, water wall, stage, vegetable patch, large scale construction, loose parts and a greenhouse. Children regularly experience baking, play on pedals, walks in the local environment and visits from the library bus. As a class within Coylton Primary School we also enjoy all the opportunities that provides. We enjoy time in the gym, ICT suite and sensory room but also enjoy STEM learning with P1 and visits to our P6 reading buddies.
