Hello everyone,

We are excited for the year ahead in Primary 4! Our teachers are Mrs Livingstone and Mrs Wallace.  We have 22 pupils in our class.  This term, we’ve already begun our novel study of Charlotte’s Web, which is providing us with lots of rich learning opportunities across the curriculum. To link with our novel, our first Interdisciplinary Learning topic is Farming—a theme we are eager to explore in depth.

In Maths and Numeracy, we are focusing on place value and the four operations, developing both mental and written strategies, as well as learning about 2D and 3D shapes. In Literacy, we continue to follow South Ayrshire Reads to strengthen our phonics knowledge, while also working on improving our writing by developing punctuation and sentence structure.

In P.E., Primary 4 are currently focusing on ball skills, and we are also thoroughly enjoying our weekly outdoor learning sessions, which give us the chance to learn in fun, active, and creative ways.
