Weekly Update: 4th – 9th March

  • Netball

Well done to the Open Diamonds netball team who won their quarter final netball match against St Thomas Aquinas HS in the bronze section of the Scottish Cup. All players were outstanding and player of match was Penny Kelly.

Well done to the S4 Netball team after their victory over Airdrie Academy. A great performance from all the team. Well done to Jennifer Carey who was the player of the Match.

  • Para Sports Festival

A number of students attended the West of Scotland Para Sport Festival at Ravenscraig RSF.  It was another excellent opportunity for students to engage with the various para sports available to them.

  • Saturday School / Flash Cards

Another very successful Saturday School session this week.  Well done to all our wonderful pupils who have attended.   The use of our Flash Cards has been a resounding success throughout the year with a total of 100,000 now having been used to aid with studying.

  • S3 Parents Evening 

Thank you to all parents and carers who attended the S3 Parents Evening this week.

  • STEM

S2 students have been planning their design for the S2 Engineering Science – Truss Bridge task, and deciding whether to use new or recycled materials to keep within their given budget.

  • Pancake Tuesday 

Our S2 Cooking Group enjoyed a morning of making pancakes.  The quality of their efforts was very impressive.
