The Parent Council is composed of parents, staff, and co-opted members with the Head Teacher as adviser. They have rights, duties and responsibilities in relation to the Management of the school.
CURRENT PRIORITIES
This session there has been a focus on re-building a sense of community post-COVID and fundraising. New priorities will be established in the new school school session.
All members of the Council are selected for a period of three years, after which they may put themselves forward for re-selection if they wish. All parents of children at the school can take part in the selection. Any parent of a child at the school can volunteer to be a member of the Parent Council. In the event that the number of volunteers exceeds the number of vacant places on the Council, members will be selected by voting. Anyone not selected may be offered the opportunity to be part of any sub-groups set up by the Parent Council and can attend Parent Council meetings but would not hold a vote in any decisions to be made.
