As you will be aware, North Lanarkshire Council have very recently released details about the short phased return of all pupils to school next week. Links for this have been posted on our website, Twitter and in text via Groupcall. In St. Gerard’s, we have been working on specific arrangements for our establishment, including details about start times, breaks and lunchtime, entrances to be used and safety procedures within the building.
You can find all of this information in the letter below:
St. Gerard’s Arrangements for School Return – letter to parents
Details for the first day for Primary 1 have been emailed directly to P1 parents. Please check your inbox for this.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming all of our pupils to school next week for a fresh start to the new term. We appreciate your support in following all the guidance issued to ensure the safety of our children and staff, and thank you for your patience during what has been a very challenging time.
See you next week!

A message has been sent to all parents to ask that you ensure that email addresses and contact details are up to date on the Parent Portal. As our children’s progress reports will be accessed on the Portal, it is essential that your details are up to date.
We previously sent home a letter for parents and carers giving information about how to do this. A link to this letter has been posted below, as well as an information video.

Dear Parents,
You may have already noticed that your child now has access to the numeracy button when they log in to IDL. This is a lovely program that assesses the children initially to determine their level and then directs them to individual lessons for them to work through at their own pace – similar to IDL literacy. Attached is a PDF with very clear instructions regarding all aspects of IDL numeracy from logging to through the assessment and on to enjoying the lessons and games.
If you require any support with IDL numeracy please don’t hesitate to contact us.
