Here are your Home Learning Tasks for this week.

RE

Here is the link for the Children’s Liturgy Activity for the Sixth Sunday of Easter.  In St. John’s Gospel Jesus tells us “If you love me you will keep my commandments.”  How can we show love to others at home?

https://youtu.be/dK3wSdrsz1s

My favourite line in this Gospel is:”I will not leave you orphans”.

As we approach the great feast of the Ascension this Thursday, we remember that although Jesus went back to his Father in Heaven, he sent his Holy Spirit on the Feast of Pentecost to be with his disciples.  The Holy Spirit lives in us too and is always with us, guiding us and leading us to our Father in Heaven.

Ascension Thursday

The Ascension Sequencing Activity

Ascension Thursday is a Holy Day of Obligation and Bishop Toal will be celebrating Mass at 11am to allow us to come together (virtually) as a community of faith.  As soon as the link is available, I will post it for you.

As we continue through the month of May, we remember to say the Rosary.  Let’s ask Our Lady to look after those who are sick and the families of people who have died.  We also remember doctors and nurses and all those looking after the people in hospital at this time.

Friday 3rd April 2020

Good morning Primary 7 & first of all, Happy Birthday to Caitlin!  I hope you have a lovely day!

As you all know, we should have been packing up to leave Kilbowie today.  Instead I’m setting you all a challenge to help at home.  In Kilbowie you would have been packing your suitcase, stripping your bed and tidying your room and throughout the week you would have had chores to do around the centre – clearing the table after meals, tidying away your dishes and brushing the floor.  Try to do some of these things to help out in the house.

If you managed to make the Kilbowie Energy Bar, I hope you enjoyed it.

I know next week is the beginning of the Easter holidays and you might not want to do any schoolwork but I’ve put some activities below in case you are bored and would like something to do, even if it’s just reading the next couple of chapters of Danny or your novel.

Keep yourselves busy and stay safe!  For those of you who have been off sweets for Lent … not long to go now!
