A very warm welcome to Craigmarloch School. We are delighted to welcome you to our website and to our school.
Craigmarloch School opened its doors for the first time in 2014. It is an all-through school offering Early Years, Primary and Secondary provision with pupils aged between 4 and 18 all sharing our wonderful facility. Situated within Port Glasgow Community Campus, we have excellent links with our partner schools: Port Glasgow High School and St Stephen’s High School. Many of our pupils use the opportunity to expand their knowledge in our partner schools; pupils from our partner schools also feel welcome in Craigmarloch School, where they can participate in classes, support their peers, or even complete their work experience.
At Craigmarloch, we aim to create a secure and friendly learning environment where students can thrive and work on achieving their aims and goals. Our school values of
Respect
Inclusion
Kindness
Independence
Our aim is to offer perfectly balanced teaching and learning opportunities with a wide range of support for our students combined with broadening the students’ prospects beyond the classroom to foster the atmosphere of achievement and success, whilst also looking after their health and wellbeing. To this end, we always work very closely with a number of partner agencies to ensure that we meet the needs of our pupils. We also recognise the value of a genuine partnership with parents and in working with parents, we ensure that our pupils are supported to make the most of learning opportunities to discover their unique strengths and talents.
Personal and academic successes of our students are at the heart of the well-planned curriculum delivered by our friendly staff and supported by our amazing Learning assistants.
Our positive learning environment, where success is celebrated and promoted, encourages our pupils to be the best they can be and work towards achieving their goals.
We offer varied and exciting Outdoor Learning curriculum, as well as a wide variety of option choice subjects. We also actively promote recycling and ecology via partnership with Terracycle; as well as working together to re-use various materials in our sensory garden.
We aim for students within the Broad General Curriculum phase of their education to feel inspired, well cared for and challenged to achieve their goals. Whatever choices our pupils make in the Senior Phase of their education, we aim to nurture and develop them, whilst providing opportunities for new experiences and challenges, all within a friendly and supportive school community.
Please feel free to browse our school website and contact us with any queries, and any of our friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you.
