Onesery

Children in the Onesery engage in high quality of learning experiences across our playrooms, enclosed outdoor play area and local community.

Play is at the heart of learning.

“Through play, the child can learn to answer their own questions, learn new skills and learn to work collaboratively with children or other adults.”

Realising the Ambition, National practice guidance for early years in Scotland.

Partnership with parents
We work closely with parents and keep in touch on a daily basis via dairy sheets which go home in children’s bag each day.  We use Learning Journals (online) which lets parents see what their child has been learning.  Parents also share information about what children have been doing outside school or nursery. Each class have floorbooks which show our learning journey and link closely to Health and Social care Standards.
Twitter
We share photos of our learning journey via our twitter page @AOnesery
Facilities
We have weekly access to soft play, hydro pool, sensory room and the local community.
