This week we learned about all things Scotland. We focused on our national stadium, the Scotland players, the World Cup and incorporated this into our play and our learning. We built Hampden with Lego, used junk modelling and paint to create goals to practice our skills at football, and created our dream football top. We learned about The Tartan Army, and all about how exciting it is to experience Scotland being in the World Cup for the first time in 28 years! We were surprised that Miss Livingstone was a baby at the last one!

Today, Mrs Meechan and the P7s organised games for us to play including a big blow up ball that was the same as us, beat the goalie, and they arranged for us to have parties with snacks this afternoon. We absolutely loved it and had a fun Scotland themed day. We even got to wear Scotland strips!

Take a look at some our snapshots below.

Just a note to say that there will be no more homework, as it is a short week and the end of year is fast approaching. P.E will still be on Thursday and Friday next week. The following week we will go for PE on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Have a lovely weekend, and a lovely holiday on Monday (school is closed). Let’s hope we can celebrate a win from Scotland this weekend!
