It’s been such a fun week!
In morning clubs, we’ve had modelling balloons and lots of us learned how to make balloon dogs and swords with them! We even taught Miss Napier, Miss White and Miss Thom how to make the balloon dogs too.
We did lots of Health and Wellbeing activities this week because it was Health Week. We learned about sun safety and made UV bead keyrings. They were so cool because the beads start off clear and then they change colour when UV rays reach them! The more colourful they are, the stronger the UV rays are. SAMH came in to chat to us about how important our mental health is and that we need to look after ourselves. We had sports day too and it was very competitive. The teachers even had to film everyone crossing the finish line so they could check the ‘VAR’ to see who crossed the line first for some races! There was a lot of great and fun moments. We also had a ‘Smoothie Bar’ in our class on Thursday and got to choose a smoothie to make. They were loads of fun to make and were really tasty.
It was Miss Thom’s last day on Thursday too. She’s been a student in our class since January. We got to watch a David Attenborough documentary about Australian animals while we were making the smoothies, then Miss Thom surprised us with a big cake! It was great day.
We’ve got our two day visit to Uddingston Grammar next Tuesday and Wednesday and we can’t wait! We’re all very excited!
