Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Room 6 Superstars Take on the Fun Run

There was magic in the air—and a fair bit of dust on the trainers—this morning as our Primary 2 classes took to the field for our School Fun Run.

The weather played along beautifully, providing just enough sunshine to keep spirits high and a cool breeze to keep our runners from overheating. It was a day filled with determination, cheers, and more than a few “sonic speed” sprints!

A Crowd to Cheer Them On

We were absolutely delighted to see such a fantastic turnout from our parents and carers. Seeing you all lined up along the fence with your loud cheers really gave the class that extra boost of energy.

The atmosphere was electric as the P2s lined up at the starting line. There were some nervous giggles, a few competitive stretches, and a whole lot of excitement. From the moment the horn blew, the children gave it their absolute all, navigating the course around the school grounds with massive smiles on their faces.

The Hero’s Welcome

Crossing the finish line is a big deal when you’re six or seven years old, and we made sure our runners feel like champions. Every single participant was greeted with:

  • Shiny Participation Medals: To commemorate their hard work and school spirit.

  • Healthy Snacks & Water: To refuel those tired muscles.

  • High-Fives Galore: From staff and cheering classmates.

A Huge Thank You

A massive well done to all of our class for showing such resilience and sportsmanship. Whether they sprinted the whole way or enjoyed a steady jog with their friends, they represented the school perfectly.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to Mrs Sheed and the other staff members who helped coordinate the event and hand out the well-deserved treats at the end.
