On Thursday 5th March, we celebrated World Book Day 2026. We had lots of fun ‘book themed’ plans and had a really great time celebrating all things reading and books.

We came to school dressed in our comfortable clothes. Some of us even dressed up as our favourite book characters.

We enjoyed some time in the morning reading our favourite books that we brought in from home.

After break, we visited Room 3 and enjoyed watching an authors live. We also watched a helpful video which told us all about the names of different parts of a book e.g., the spine and the title page.

In the afternoon, all of our friends in Primary 1 took part in a “reading picnic” in the gym hall.
