IOW

This week we have been doing IOW (which stands for Improving Our Writing) . In our first week we did fragments of a sentence like “The dog walked” . We have been changing that into real sentences. In week two, we did run-ons. Run-ons are sentences that have no punctuation or connectives. We have been doing scrambled sentences which are words in a sentence that are jumbled up. 

Maths 

In maths we have been doing revision of adding 3 and 4 digit numbers with the standard written method , we have also been exploring time and we are getting a lot better. We have just started problem solving using listing.

Spelling

This week our spelling rule has been words that start with AL and WEL. We have been practising our spelling words using strategies like pyramid spelling, hangman and more.

ART 

For art we made European baubles to hang on our Christmas tree and made Christmas tree art.

PE

For PE we have been doing football and we have been doing matches, boys vs boys and girls vs girls to make the teams fair.
