Welcome to 2025 everyone!

We got to new learning straight away- learning words  with the soft ‘c’ sound like city and icy and practicing words with -‘at’.

In numeracy we continued our block of subtraction, looking at subtracting using friendly numbers (multiples of 10).

We were learning about France with Miss Priestly. It was super cold and slippery so instead of outdoor PE we showed off our Yoga skills to Miss Priestly,

We have been thinking about things we want to achieve this year and what type of person we want to be. We worked collaboratively to use ICT and perform a simple search to make a list of positive qualities and traits.

We selected one each to be our one word goal for the year and made a lovely wall display.  We also thought about what we want to see more of, less of and what we want to stay the same in our class.

We started our new topic of Scotland and with Room 7 we learned some Scottish Country Dances- The Military Two Step and the Canadian Barn Dance.
