Good Afternoon, 

This week in literacy we have been consolidating all of our previously taught joint phonemes and common words. We have been practicing writing dictated sentences and using connectives to join our sentences. 

We have started to practice our Christmas Concert songs. You could practice at home with your child:

• Jingle Bell Rock 
• Santa Clause is Coming to Town 
• Last Christmas

The children in Room 4 enjoyed: 

JN – I liked writing sentences with connectives. 

EB – I liked learning I can sing a Rainbow with the makaton signs for our Nurture afternoon.

OK – I liked learning about the planets in Science.

HW – I liked when the P6 reading buddies came to read with us. 

GM – I liked practicing our letter formations of the letters d and g. 

SM – We played cat and mouse in the pitches for PE. 

EF – We added 10s in maths.

JC – I liked practicing songs for our Christmas Concert. 

MG – I liked doing the daily mile in the pitches.

ZE – I liked making posters all about France with French food and landmarks. 

IG – I liked listening to the Christmasaurus book.
