Room 27’s Fantastic Blog!

We have had a fantastic week of learning in Room 27 again.

We have been enjoying reading more of ‘The Wild Robot’, we have been practising our times tables and completing calculations and we have been learning all about the compass points with turns and directions. Ask us about quarter and half turns and how many degrees are in each turn around the compass. You can also challenge us by asking us to go clockwise and anti-clockwise.

We have been doing gymnastics, football and basketball in PE.

For our writing, we created our own stories focusing on the plot and main events. We used a ‘story mountain’ to help with this.

With Miss O’Brien, we have been learning about the digestive system.

“I really enjoyed gymnastics, it was fun. I liked making up my sequence with my partner.” LW

“I liked using the Chromebooks for research about the digestive system.” AB

“I really enjoyed passing at football.” AM

“I really enjoyed doing the gymnastics games. My favourite was ‘Stop, Drop and Roll'” MN

“I liked starting something new in gym. I liked doing the routine in gymnastics.” KE

“My favourite thing was in PE doing the plank challenge at the end. I was good at that.” TJP

“I liked doing the angles with the compass points and directions in maths.” FM

Thank you for reading our blog. Have a wonderful weekend.
