After reading our first short class novel , ‘There’s a Dragon in my Backpack’ by Tom Nicoll, Cinder the soft toy Dragon showed up to ignite our inner spark of magic. The novel deals with themes of jealousy and empathy and overcoming anxiety. Cinder and his friend Flint will continue to visit backpacks for a couple of weeks. Maybe for just a morning or sometimes a whole overnight. Nothing needs to be done other than imaginations becoming fired up with the possibilities of what a magical dragon or two may be getting up to when your back is turned!
